Listening test Section 1. A telephone conversation between a woman and a man regarding a first aid training program. Section 2. Information on holidays and bookings at Australian tourist sites. Questions: multiple choice, map labelling. Section 3. Two people were talking about their experience in different areas at their workplace. Questions: short-answer questions. Section 4. A talk on helping people with disabilities. Questions: filling in blanks. Reading test Passage 1. About an ancient plant which can help people. Questions: filling in blanks, True/False/Not Given. Passage 2. About stress at work with views of different researchers. Questions: 4 questions on matching the correct person with the comment followed by filling in blanks. Passage 3. Don’t remember. Writing test Writing task 1 (a report) We were given a diagram describing how a desalination plant works (extracting fresh water from sea water). We had to explain the process in detail. Writing Task 2 (an essay) Nowadays many young people get involved in criminal activity. Why is this happening? Give reasons followed by examples and suggest preventive measures to eliminate this problem. Speaking test Interview - What is your full name? - Can I see your ID? - Where are you from? - Do you work or study? - Tell me about the place you live in. - What do you dislike about this place? - Will you stay in this place or do you plan to move away? - Who does the cooking at home? - Do you help with cooking? - What do you think about involving children in cooking? Cue Card Describe a beautiful garden that you have visited. Please say - What garden is it? - When did you visit it? - What did you do there? Discussion - Do you think more places on earth should be green? Why? - Do you think gardens are destroyed for the purpose of building new apartments? - Do you go to nature parks a lot? - Why do you do it?
